6/12/11

Where has the time gone?  It's already mid June here in Western Massachusetts.  I've had one very, very busy spring!  Let me first address the tornado that ripped through our area on June 1st. Tornados are not that common in this neck of the woods, we're just not used to them happening here!  This one started near Springfield and ended around Sturbridge, it ran about forty miles in length and at times was around three quarters of a mile wide. The National Weather Service has called it a EF3 tornado.  Many, many homes were lost, not to mention hundreds of acres of forest land.  Miraculously, only three deaths were directly attributed to the storm.  I've driven through some of the affected communities a few times and I am still speechless, I can't find words to describe the devastation!  My heart and thoughts go out to all of those, including some real good friends, who have lost so much!  Once again mother nature shows us who's really in charge!
Work has been very busy, and now add tornado clean up, I've had very little time to work on this website.  I have been designing/constructing a webstore that will hopefully be up and running in the not so distant future.  I've had a few opportunities to get out and take pictures of farming in New England, I will post them in the photo gallery on the FROM THE FARM page. Last but not least, I want to wish my beautiful fianc'ee Lynn a very happy birthday on June 14th.
I hope all is well in your part of the world.
